Modern cars save electricity when they have to meet the new Euro 6 criteria and therefore they cannot charge an extra installed battery. The charging voltage is lowered and this means that traditional battery systems, with or without a 230V inverter, cannot be used in new vans anymore.
The solution is to use a DC-DC Booster that increases the voltage. Clayton Power has a number of electrical systems providing 230V in the car with Euro 6 and can cover requirements of up to 2300W.
There are two types of electrical systems designed specifically for cars and vans: scalable battery systems and as a combined unit, Lithium Power Supply (LPS) - read more about LPS on www.lps.energy.
If there is a daily need for energy in the car for professional requirements, the electrical system should be based on lithium batteries as these are more powerful, can withstand being trickle charged and do not require any type of maintenance.
